Which amended rules apply to you, and when
Answer the questions below. The check reads the held record, selects the duties that match your role, systems and record routes, and tells you whether the current or the amended text applies on the date you choose. It is a scope reading, not a legal opinion.
The questions
Nothing is sent anywhere. Leave an answer blank and the check will say what is missing.

Choose your role and systems, then read the scope. The check needs JavaScript; the rule pages and the kit do not.
If JavaScript is off, use the rule list on the rules page or buy the kit for the full register.
What each answer selects
| Answer | What it puts in scope |
|---|---|
| Market Participant | The record rules in Chapter 4 and the manipulation rule in 5.7.1. |
| Trading Participant | The Trading System Requirements in Part 5.6, the message responsibility rule in 5.5.1 and the Authorised Person records in 4.1.9. |
| Trading System | The controls, monitoring, certification, review and direction rules that attach to a Trading System. |
| Trading Algorithm | The algorithm governance and testing rule in 5.6.3B, and the algorithm dimension of a direction in 5.6.12. |
| Client dealing or own account | The matching record rule, and the narrower rule where another participant executes. |
| Market operator records | The field by field reliance table in 4.1.6, and the fields the participant must still keep. |
| A date before 17 March 2028 | The current 2017 rules apply; the amended duties are shown as a planning record with the work to do now. |
About the check
Is the check free?
Yes. It runs in the browser from the published record and asks for no email, account or payment.
Does it send my answers anywhere?
No. The page reads a local seed file and computes the result in the browser. There is no request with your answers.
What does "scope incomplete" mean?
It means an answer the rule depends on is unsure. The check names the missing answer rather than guessing a lighter or heavier pathway.
Why does the date matter?
Until 17 March 2028 the current 2017 rules apply. On and after that date the amended text applies. The check shows both the status and the work to do now.
Not legal advice; does not certify. The check reads the record dated 2026-10-19; the instrument is linked on every rule page.
